Interesting historic building in the centre of Galle Fort. Excellent food (although by SriLankan standards rather expensive!). Lovely room in old part of the building. Well located for visiting Galle Fort.

Great little hotel inside the fort. Very well renovated into a modern, airy space. What we absolutely loved was that finally after staying in many hotels over the past three years, here is finally one staffed with ladies(!) not only in charge, but also in the service. What a rare sight and what a pleasant one. Nothing against male staff, but Sri Lanka's hotels are flooded with men. For a foreign female tourist, this just feels uncomfortable at times. Food was delicious too.

This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

The hotel is perfectly positioned in Galle Fort, everything on your doorstep. The building is beautiful, steeped in history but still modern and comfortable. The staff were so accommodating and very polite. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice all cooked to order. We had dinner one night and it was equally as good. We also had a trip to the sister hotel, Kurulu Bay, which was just as fabulous. I would highly recommend the Fort Printers.

Great location. Swimming pool a real bonus. Breakfasts were excellent. Staff really lovely and always so helpful. Great to have the air conditioned breakfast/dining room snd second library area. Room air conditioning very efficient. In the church street suite the use of small kitchen for hot drinks and the fridge also a bonus. We would definitely return.

Wonderful hotel! Authentic colonial atmosphere with old doors, old windows and some touches of modern style (lamps, chairs in the restaurant). All matches very well - really a gorgeous piece of interior architecture. Friendly, caring and attentive staff! Huge room , relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast - you can choose continental or Sri Lanken and get it served. We had Sri Lanken and it was excellent. You can also choose in which of their lovely seating areas you want to be served. So much individuality Treatment was like in a 5 star hotel ! Would have loved to stay much longer! Hotel itself would be a reason to come back to Galle

Very beautiful and stylish hotel, you can endlessly look at the do's and walk around the floors and grounds. The pool is our love, just what we needed on a hot afternoon. The staff is very friendly, the location is awesome! The breakfasts are delicious and varied

Our stay at Fort Printers was unbelievable. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind - going out of their way to accommodate us the next day when we had to hang around waiting for our late flight - I couldn't thank them enough. The hotel is beautiful and decorated very stylishly. Our room was amazing - it was huge and was a perfect way to end our amazing holiday in Sri Lanka - I wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

What a brilliant location - smack bang in the middle of the Fort precinct. We could walk everywhere including historic sites, restaurants, the beach and shopping. The Hotel itself was a stunning historical building made even more appealing by the staff and their level of service and attention to detail. The bar staff even went out of their way to get Soy Milk for a couple of us with lactose intolerances.

Beautiful, interesting historic hotel, excellent hospitality, wonderful restaurant. Loved that they constantly provided filtered water throughout the day. Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. A very well run small hotel, would highly recommend.
